Miscarriage
Jake Drowns, 25, was called to the pasture at his family's dairy farm in Salisbury, Nh. on August 25, 2009, to help a cow birth its first calf. The calf had turned around in a way that made it stuck. After Drowns attempted to turn the calf around multiple times he was unable to save the calf. "Sometimes, you just can't win them all," said Drowns.
